Shri Ganganagar, Rajasthan

Shri Ganganagar is a city that is located in the state of Rajasthan and it is also known as Ganganagar. The city is located in the Ganganagar District in the northern regions of the state. The city was originally a desert and was converted into a green city by the various irrigations projects that were introduced. It is a primarily an agricultural city and many green fields can be seen in the area, and it is a very interesting place to visit. The city is located at the place where the River Sutlej enters the state of Rajasthan and the city is also known as the food basket of the state. The region was part of the Bikaner state originally until the time of independence. 

There are a few interesting places that one can visit in the area and some of them are:

Hindumalkot


Hindumalkot is located 26 KM. from the SRI GANGA NAGAR district Headquater. Hindumalkot is the sub-tehsil of SRI GANGA NAGAR district.This is palace where Indo-Pak border post.In this palace border post is controlled by indian army. In this palace people can see the indo-pak international border with observation-post.

Laila Majnu ki Majhar


Ram Mandir, Gauri Shankar Mandir, Dada Pamparam Samadhi are other places to see.


There are many old buildings and havelis that one can see in the town and this makes it an interesting place to visit............
